What BeihilfeEinbett provides
BeihilfeEinbett upgrades your hospital accommodation from a 2-bed room (included in BeihilfeKlinik) to a 1-bed / single room. It is a comfort enhancement, not a core protection element.
This module is for civil servants who value maximum privacy and recovery comfort during hospital stays.
Requires BeihilfeKlinik
BeihilfeEinbett is not a standalone product. It can only be added on top of BeihilfeKlinik, which already provides chief physician treatment and 2-bed room accommodation.
The modular structure is:
- BeihilfeBest — core residual-cost tariff (standard ward)
- + BeihilfeKlinik — chief physician + 2-bed room
- + BeihilfeEinbett — upgrade to 1-bed room
State-specific considerations
As with all hospital comfort benefits, federal-state Beihilfe rules vary in how they treat single-room accommodation:
- Some states partially reimburse single-room costs via Beihilfe; others do not
- Where Beihilfe recognizes the benefit, co-payments or daily surcharges may still apply
- BeihilfeEinbett covers the residual cost regardless of your state's approach
